A costume or drapery trim or edging. It can be made by simply removing the weft yarns from the edge of a piece of fabric thereby creating a self fringe or it can also be made by cutting yarn loops which are attached to a selvedge. Can also be made of loose cords.

Используется для украшения или обшивки предметов одежды или драпировки. Можно сделать самостоятельно разными способами, в том числе, простым разрезанием края ткани на ровные параллельные полоски, вытягиванием основных нитей и т.д.
