Wagner curtain / Bayreuth curtain

A curtain, usually twice the height of the proscenium arch, that is pulled open on a diagonal using a cord attached to the back side of the curtain through rings, often leaving the lower part of the curtain visible to the audience on at the sides of the proscenium.
