Statistics often show that people's interest in theatre has fallen in recent years. Audience with sadness talk about ‘theatre crisis’. But one of the reasons of this ‘crisis’ is that theatre has ceased being affordable for most part of the traditional audience – ticket prices in Moscow theatres are five times as expensive as in Europe.

In may of 2008 Russian Public Opinion Research Center represented data about what modern theatre production Russians remember, who they consider to be their favourite actors and directors and which theatres they like the most.

Organizers claim that it is the biggest children's theatre festival in the world. At least the biggest "touring" festival as it takes place in a new area of Denmark every year. They present more than 100 different professional productions (altogether nearly 500 shows) in a single week.
