Future Starts Now! Festival of Plays for Children

Festival will run from March 20 – 27th, 2008, in Vilnius, Lithuania. This festival of plays for children invites submissions of plays, with a deadline of 15th February, 2008.

During the festival, plays for children will be produced. The artistic directors of various theatres will present plays, created specially for this occasion by various dramaturges.

The spectators and the commission (literature critic, theatre critic, dramaturge, and producer) will choose the most interesting dramas. The winner will get “9 – strengths” nomination, the dramas will be published in press and it will be produced in the theatre.

Included in the festival programme will be:

• Theatre artistic conference
• Performances for children
• Reading dramas for children
• Discussions about the performances
• The club of festival members 

We invite you to submit your play until the 15th of February 2008, and also to take part in the event itself.
