“Monocle” is the International Mono-Performances Festival, member of the International International Association of One Man Show Festivals and Workshops.
The Festival is held since 1997, once in two years in February-March. It is intended for furthering the genre of mono-performances and developing new forms of acting art and dramaturgy.
The Festival consists of two rounds – the St. Petersburg round and the International one. St. Petersburg actors take part in the St. Petersburg round, foreign actors, actors from the other cities of Russia, as well as not more than 3 winners of the St. Petersburg round participate in the International round of the Festival.
Organizers of the Festival pay to participants of the International round for accommodation, meals (breakfast in the hotel, lunch in the theatre). Participants of the International round are to arrive to St. Petersburg on the day preceding the performance, and depart next morning.
Registration Form should be sent to the Festival by November 10th, 2008.
