Kamerata, International Theatre Festival

10th edition of Kamerata festival that has a competition section will be held in Chelyabinsk in autumn 2008; organizers have announced a call for applications from theatre companies.

Kamerata selects and presents best performances by both Russian and International theatre companies, which have been premiered in the last two seasons. The 2008 Edition of the festival will consider performances that were staged between May 2006 and April 2008.

The Festival bears a competition section: there are awards for Best Performance, Best Male Actor, Best Female Actor, and Best Set Design. Awards are given by a professional board of juries.

Terms of Participation:

Kamerata festival is open to professional drama theatre companies (either repertory or non-repertory), and to performances by undergraduate students of professional theatre schools. Participation is welcome from all countries.

Organizers will cover accommodation expenses, meals, and local transportation.
