This book includes notes on lectures that V.E.Meyerhold read in 1918-1919 in institutions, created by him in Petrograd. These texts never published before demonstrate Meyerhold's views on theatrical process of the first years of revolution and on aims of theatrical movement. Lectures at Courses of acting skills are connected with director’s work on a script and director’s work with artist and actors. In appendix there are Meyerhold’s acting layouts, correspondence with his colleagues and students, and also there are projects of theatrical institutions developed by him (including project of Experimental Theater Institute).
