New Theatre Institute of Latvia is looking for individual professional artists from object and marionette theatre, visual theatre and puppetry to perform a short gig and give workshop for children in Riga, Latvia during the White Night project, in the evening of August 30.
The gig should be played outdoors between 21:00 and 02:00 and should be possible to repeat 3 to 4 times during the festival night. It should fit both for adult and children audience.
Artists can use small scale or giant puppets, objects and sound or light installations, but there should be no text.
The workshop should be addressed to young audience and should run between 2 to 3 hours during the same day.
The festival will cover international travel, board and lodging (hotel for 3 nights including one preparation day) and offer artistic fee in the amount of 500 Euros.
White Night is an annual festival of Riga city and connects many different events. The object and puppetry night will be organized by the New Theatre Institute of Latvia and will conclude the International Festival of puppet and object theatre Homo Alibi.
