Eurasia 2009, International Playwrights Contest

Eurasia 2009 has announced an open call for submissions of theatre plays. In year 2009 the Contest has three established nominations: Free Writing, Play for Large Scale Production, and Play for Theatre for Children.

In the framework of the Contest a laboratory for playwrights will be held; this will be a joint laboratory which will involve theatre critics. Additionally Nikolai Kolyada will give a master class to winning playwrights: short essays about a given topic will be created and worked on.

Submissions are accepted via e-mail at kolyada@sky.ru through 15 March 2009. All texts must be in MS Word format and must be compressed with ZIP or RAR programs.

Winning playwrights are awarded travel and participation in the final events of the Contest in Yekaterinburg in June 2009.

Please note that submitted plays will be published on the Web.
