Gavrosh Festival aims to introduce the smallest of Russian spectators to best of theatre for children from different cultures. The target audience of the festival is children aged 3 - 14 and their parents. In addition, Gavrosh festival carries out educational program, which includes workshops for children and parents, children's art exhibitions, etc.
The guest country of Gavrosh in 2009 (18-27 Sept.) is Sweden (each edition is specifically dedicated to theatre from a single country; previous countries being France and Italy). The third edition of the festival has been named Karlsson.
Swedish companies of Sesam Theatre, Circus Circîr, Tyst Teater, Zebra Dans and Tittut will show their performances Moscow. Among Russian participants are Kolyada Theatre from Ekaterinburg, Regional Puppet Theatre from Ivanovo, Vera (Faith) Theatre from Nizhny Novgorod, Sergey Kazarnovsky’s Class Centre, Impromptu Theatre and the host company of the festival - Moscow Theatre of Clow Art.
