5-7 November 2009, Copenhagen, Denmark
International showcase for Danish performing arts firstname.lastname@example.org is organized by Copenhagen International Theatre with the support of Danish Arts Council. The aim of email@example.com is to create an inspiring platform where international guests can meet artists from Denmark and create opportunities for collaboration.
firstname.lastname@example.org will be carried out for the second time this year. The results of the first international showcase held in 2006 were absolutely convincing. Some 30 Danish companies and artists were invited to present their work internationally and to take part in international collaborations and exchange programs then.
During the showcase guests will have a unique opportunity to meet leading directors, choreographers and producers working in Denmark. They’ll also see the most interesting theatre works of the 2008/9 season. The program spectrum will cover most of the performing arts: theatre, dance, new drama, performance, contemporary circus, site specific work and music theatre.
email@example.com 09 in total will showcase some 20 short extracts and will include finished work that is ready for touring, as well as work-in-progress.
The afternoons and evenings will feature new productions by Danish Dance Theatre, Holland House, Cantabile 2, Mute Comp., Granhøj Dans, Theatre Rio Rose, Recoil performance group, WEGO, Public Eye/Sara Gebran, Reublique (Theatre X), Stuart Lynch and Ninna Steen, TeaterKUNST, X-act/Kitt Johnson, Holbæk Teater and Hello!Earth.
Organizers will cover hotel and full board for all invited participants (3 days – 2 nights). For guests from some Eastern European countries it is possible to apply for a travel grant. Pre-registration by e-mail is open now. If you are interested in taking part, just send an e-mail to firstname.lastname@example.org with “newsletter” mark in the subject-line and you will automatically receive detailed program information and a registration form.
